Treatment
Psychological treatments aren't the most supported treatment as they are based on theories of personality, interpersonal communication, and learning. Most biological and chemical theories focus more on the different chemicals in the synapses in the brain. The chemicals Serotonin, Levophed and Dopamine all assist in the communication between nerve cells through synaptic transfer. These chemicals can be put in the body to alter communication in the brain and therefore alter mood. The chemical compounds can come in pills, creams or injections.[4]
